Jordan is situated at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe. Officially known as The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, it is an Arab kingdom in Western Asia, bordered along Syria on the north, Iraq on the north-east, Saudi Arabia to the east and south, Israel, Palestine and the Dead Sea to the west and the Red Sea to its extreme southwest.
